Week 4 – Russian Glass

Week 4/54

I’ve been having great fun with my Russian made Jupiter 3 50mm f/1.5 lens. Its a challenge to focus as it needs a CLA and doesn’t really marry with a modern M9. But every now and again I manage to get the focus right and when that happens it renders a really nice classic looking image. Not bad for a lens that was made in 1971.

Shot processed in Aperture 3 and Photoshop CS5.

Strobist Info :- SB900 camera right with LumiQuest Softbox III @ 1/20 and SB600 camera left bare @ 1/80.

Shot info :- ISO 200, 35mm, 0 ev, f/22, 1/250
