Week 16 – Safe Harbour

Hardly got a chance to take pictures this week. Don’t know how I ever completed a 365 last year.

This is one of Howth Harbour taken earlier today. There were some fairly dramatic clouds around, and when I saw the small yacht sailing towards the harbour I thought It would make a nice image. I like this picture except for the fact that the yacht is not totally separated form the harbour. I think it would make a much stronger image if the yacht was just a little bit lower. Ah! well, you cant win ’em all.

Shot processed in Aperture 3.2.2 and Nik Silver Efex Pro.

Shot details :- ISO 160, 35mm, 0 ev, f/2, 1/4000

BTW I shot this at f/2 because I was testing out the infinity focus on my Leica lenses at the time.
